Description:
Angelica Balm15 ml
Plant: An impressive, majestic plant with a powerful and commanding presence. It can grow to be "man-height" and is deeply rooted in the earth. According to legend, an angel revealed to humans the great healing properties of this plant.
Effectiveness: Angelica Balm helps with runny and stuffy noses, provides support for acute and chronic lymph node swelling, aids in relieving throat and ear pain, sinus and jaw inflammation, and soothes red nasal passages irritated by a cold.
Usage: For infants with a runny nose, apply a small amount of Angelica Balm (about the size of a pea) on a piece of cloth or tissue and place it near the baby's bed. From the 3rd month of life, the balm can be applied directly to the baby's nose. For toddlers, children, and adults, apply the balm sparingly on the forehead and the bridge of the nose to clear a stuffy nose. Gently stroke the bridge of the nose from top to bottom. Reddened nasal passages can be treated with a small amount of balm to inhale the aroma oils.
Sinus and Jaw Inflammation: Apply the balm to the forehead or cheekbone area or place a salve compress on the forehead or cheekbone area. Spread an unsterile compress with balm, leaving a balm-free edge, and apply the salve side to the affected area. Do this twice a day. Note: Do not apply to open wounds.
Ear Pain: Apply the balm behind the ear or spread a poultice with some Angelica Balm for use.
Lymph Node Swelling: Stroke Angelica Balm gently from the earlobe area down to the collarbone with gentle downward movements of the fingers. This stimulates lymph flow.
Ingredients: Angelica root, marjoram, thyme, St. John's wort oil, pesticide-free beeswax, and lanolin.
Literature: I highly recommend the book "Wickel & Co" by Ursula Uhlemayr for further information. Specifically for pregnancy and breastfeeding, "Aromatherapie von der Schwangerschaft zur Stillzeit" by Ingeborg Stadelmann is a suitable book.
